Ingolstadt Science Foundation of Excellence - Ignaz Koegler
As part of positioning the city of Ingolstadt as an excellent location for science, the foundation was established in June 2019. The task and goal of the foundation is to sustainably support top-level application-oriented research in Ingolstadt.
The aim is to provide an organizational framework for the city, private individuals, companies and organizations to profile and promote application-oriented research.
The purpose of the foundation is to be realized through grants, which is decided by a science council as an organ of the foundation.
The foundation bears the name "Ingolstadt Science Foundation of Excellence - Ignaz Koegler" and is named after the Jesuit Ignaz Kögler, who studied and taught in Ingolstadt and represents all of Ingolstadt's renowned researchers in the past, present and future.
